I Did It! I created my first blog!
I have been procrastinating long enough and I have now done it! I've created my virginal blog! Now that I'm here, I'm not sure where to begin.
I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember. I received my first camera at the age of 6: a Kodak Brownie. My first model was Barbie (the first Barbie), so that should give you an idea of how long I have been interested in photography. My lifelong love of cameras and photography has led me to my current station in life. I am a freelance photography specializing in weddings and portraiture. My passion is shooting new places, candids, and sports photography. I have kept my "day job" however. I am a high school English teacher/Librarian. I also teach photography to adults in the evening through local community schools. My life is always interesting. A little boring would be welcome right about now. My last big photo shoot was the country of Calabria in Italy.
I still have over 800 pictures to edit, so I'm guessing they will be finished sometime this coming summer. When I'm not shooting or editing pictures in the summer, I'm trying to keep my vegetables, flowers and herbs alive in the back yard. The biggest threat.....deer! I've shot them with the camera, but I'm ready to change weapons if they don't leave my things alone!! I also have a disturbing raccoon who likes to ransack my bird feeder. It could be worse, I hear black bears like them as well.
